Your impact
Jacobs is hiring a Principal Engineer – Piping Stress to act as a
technical authority and client representative on industrial projects. The role focuses on
review, approval, and governance of EPC contractor stress designs, ensuring compliance with codes, safety, operability, and long‑term asset reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve piping stress design basis, philosophies, and calculations
- Ensure compliance with ASME B31.1 / B31.3 and client standards
- Provide technical oversight of EPC contractor deliverables
- Participate in design audits, model reviews, and HAZOPs
- Advise clients on design risks, constructability, and operability
Here's what you'll need
- B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
- 18+ years piping stress experience in industrial projects
- PMC / EPCM / EPC Engineer background
- Brownfield / revamp project exposur
- CAESAR II (expert level)
- Piping stress analysis & flexibility design
- EPC review & PMC governance experience
- ASME piping codes
- Strong stakeholder communication
