Job Title Principal Cyber Security Architect—10+years

Location-Remote

Job Description: The Principal Cybersecurity Architect is a senior individual contributor reporting to the Sr. Director of Cybersecurity Services. This role is responsible for shaping enterprise-wide security architecture strategy, defining security standards, and embedding cybersecurity across all technology layers.

Key Responsibilities: Security Architecture Leadership

• Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture strategy aligned with business and

threat landscape.

• Define reference architectures, standards, templates, and reusable security patterns.

• Lead architecture roadmaps across on-premises and multi-cloud environments. Cloud & Infrastructure Security

• Lead security architecture for AWS and GCP environments.

• Ensure secure network design, identity management, data protection, and monitoring.

• Validate and improve infrastructure components like firewalls, WAF, EDR, and IPS.

Identity, Access & Zero Trust

• Design IAM strategy including SSO, MFA, RBAC, and least privilege.

• Implement Zero Trust principles across enterprise systems.

Security Strategy & Threat Intelligence

• Track industry trends and integrate into cybersecurity strategy.

• Conduct threat modeling (STRIDE, PASTA, MITRE ATT&CK).

• Align architecture with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI.Architecture Review & Governance

• Perform architecture reviews across cloud, applications, and infrastructure.

• Act as a trusted advisor to architects, engineering teams, and stakeholders.OT/IoT & Emerging Technologies

• Review and secure OT and IoT systems in collaboration with operational teams.Incident Response & Technical Leadership

• Provide guidance during incidents including cloud forensics and remediation.Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate new technologies and drive innovation in cybersecurity practices.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineering.

• Strong expertise in cloud (AWS, GCP), infrastructure, and application security.

• Experience designing enterprise-scale security architectures.

• Knowledge of Zero Trust, encryption, and security frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and vulnerability management tools.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, ITIL, or similar.

• Experience in large enterprises or regulated industries.

• Experience in automation, scripting, and security analytics.

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.

• Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
