📌 We're Hiring | Principal Content Author — Marine Engineering Dieselship Academic Division | Chennai (On-site)
Are you a marine engineer who has sailed, knows the engine room inside out, and is ready to bring that knowledge ashore?
Dieselship Academic Division produces exam preparation books and study materials used by marine engineering candidates across India, the United Kingdom, and worldwide. We are looking for a senior engineer to join our team in Chennai as a Principal Content Author, responsible for researching, writing, and simplifying technical content for a global student audience.

What you will do
- Research IMO regulations, MCA requirements, and international class rules
- Develop exam content aligned to MMD India, UK MCA, and other flag state syllabi
- Simplify complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate study material
- Author and refine question banks, study guides, and reference books
- Validate existing content for technical and regulatory accuracy
What we are looking for
- Active or ex-sailing marine engineer with minimum Class II MEO license
- Chief Engineer experience is an advantage but not mandatory
- Familiarity with MMD India, UK MCA, and international examination frameworks
- Strong written English — clear, structured, and accessible
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, passionate about education
Important
- Fully shore-based, on-site role in Chennai
- No remote or hybrid arrangement
- Not a fleet training or crew management position — purely academic
