Merito has 900+ D2C Brands on it's platform. We now have an AIF to invest into the winners. Your role is to own the equity MOIC for Merito end-to-end. This starts with a ₹ 35Cr portfolio, rising to ₹300 Cr in 2 years

Are you right for this role?
Must-Have Attributes
- At least 5 years experience in consumer investments - either at a consumer focussed VC fund or family office, or in the corporate development team of an FMCG company
- Has been part of at least 3 consumer/D2C brand deals - end to end
- Can demonstrate a network of relationships with D2C brand founders and investors
- Strong understanding of D2C Brand unit economics and "lingo"
- Updated on the latest moves in the consumer, FMCG, e-commerce and D2C brand ecosystem in India
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced start up environment
- Based in/willing to relocate to Mumbai
Good-to-Have Attributes
- Has 2+ years of operating experience at a D2C brand
- Has co-invested alongside major consumer VCs
- Has an active LinkedIn presence in the D2C ecosystem (at least 10k+ followers)
- Understanding of SEBI AIF regulations
Overview of the Job
Build and own an equity investment thesis
- Interact with brands using Merito to identify investment opportunities
- Improve the Merito evaluation mechanism from an equity investment perspective
- Network with other consumer VCs and other ecosystem players
- Manage relationships with portfolio companies
- Liaise with the investment and advisory committees to get approval for equity investments

Compensation
This position comes with a competitive fixed salary and ESOPs.
