Role Description The Principal Cofounder will provide strategic leadership and vision for BLACKBULL LAW HOUSE, driving business growth and shaping the firm’s corporate law practice in India. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing key client relationships, guiding complex corporate transactions, and ensuring high-quality legal services across business formation, structuring, contracts, compliance, and dispute resolution. The Principal Cofounder will collaborate with other leaders and attorneys to develop practice areas, refine service offerings, and expand the firm’s market presence. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading business development initiatives, mentoring team members, setting performance standards, and contributing to firm-wide policies and governance. The role also requires active participation in networking, thought leadership, and strategic planning to position BLACKBULL LAW HOUSE as a trusted partner for corporate clients.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to handle complex corporate matters and develop informed legal strategies.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact with clients, negotiate agreements, and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing skills to drive business development, build the firm’s brand, and expand the client base.
- Candidates should possess leadership and team management abilities to guide attorneys and staff, foster a collaborative culture, and maintain high professional standards.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in corporate law, including transactions, contracts, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Professional legal qualification (LL.B or equivalent) and admission to practice law in India; advanced degrees or specialized certifications in corporate or business law are an advantage.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a law firm or corporate legal department, with a track record of building and managing client relationships.
- Strong ethical judgment, business acumen, and ability to work on-site in India on a full-time basis.
