Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Principal Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP, combined with strategic vision to drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, guiding architecture decisions that enable business agility, operational excellence, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Strategy Design and implement comprehensive multi-cloud architectures that align with business objectives and technical requirements. Develop cloud adoption strategies, migration roadmaps, and governance frameworks that ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. Establish architectural standards and best practices for cloud-native application development and infrastructure management.
Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Lead architecture review boards, evaluate emerging technologies, and make strategic recommendations on cloud services and tooling. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to translate business requirements into scalable, resilient technical solutions.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation Architect and implement infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform and related IaC tools. Design CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks that enable rapid, reliable deployments across multiple cloud environments. Leverage Rundeck for workflow automation and orchestration of complex operational processes.
AI & Emerging Technologies Integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into cloud architectures, including experience with AWS AgentCore, Model Context Protocols (MCPs), and other AI/ML services across cloud platforms. Evaluate and implement AI-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, security, and business intelligence. Stay current with emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability to organizational needs.
Artifact & Release Management Design and implement artifact management strategies using JFrog Artifactory and related tools. Establish best practices for package management, version control, and software distribution across multi-cloud environments. Ensure secure, efficient handling of artifacts throughout the software development lifecycle.
Security & Compliance Embed security best practices into cloud architecture designs, implementing defense-in-depth strategies and zero-trust principles. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and corporate policies across all cloud platforms. Design and implement identity and access management solutions, encryption strategies, and security monitoring frameworks.
Performance & Cost Optimization Continuously monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Implement cloud financial management practices and provide recommendations for resource optimization. Design solutions that balance performance requirements with budgetary constraints.
