Position Summary
We are seeking a Principal Cloud Operations Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands‑on operational ownership for our hosted SaaS platforms running across AWS and Azure. This role combines deep, day‑to‑day operational responsibility with principal‑level scope, including setting standards, driving architectural and reliability decisions, and shaping how cloud platforms are operated at scale.
As a Sr Engineer, you own the end‑to‑end operational health of complex, multi‑cloud environments. You are expected to operate production systems directly while also acting as a force multiplier across Cloud Operations, Platform, and Engineering teams—raising the bar on production readiness, automation, resilience, and incident management.
You anticipate systemic risks, design durable solutions, and guide teams toward long‑term operational excellence through clear standards, strong technical judgment, and consistent hands‑on leadership.
Required Qualifications
•
7+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure engineering, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
•
Deep, hands‑on experience operating production systems in both AWS and Azure.
•
Strong expertise in core cloud services, including (but not limited to):
AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch
Azure: Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure AD, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Monitor
•
Proven ability to design, implement, and operate large‑scale, highly available, multi‑region environments.
•
Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible).
•
Strong Linux systems knowledge, including performance tuning, networking, and security hardening.
•
Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation, tooling, and diagnostics.
•
Demonstrated ability to define, apply, and uphold production readiness and operational standards.
