The firm provides comprehensive advisory services in corporate, civil, and commercial laws, including capital markets, foreign exchange, intellectual property, real estate, and contract drafting and vetting. Its transaction practice covers investment structuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and angel investments, due diligence, and corporate restructuring. The litigation team represents clients before all major courts and tribunals in India, including the Supreme Court, High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, Enforcement Directorate, and arbitral forums. The firm has particular expertise in amalgamations, demergers, shareholder disputes, recoveries, and insolvency and bankruptcy matters, including acquisition of companies under insolvency laws.
Position Overview- Role: Principal Associate
- Experience Required: 7+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)

As a Principal Associate, you will manage and lead complex corporate, commercial, and litigation mandates, acting as a key strategic point of contact for clients and internal teams. This leadership role demands a blend of technical expertise, independent matter management, and a commitment to mentoring growing teams.
Core Practice AreasCandidates must demonstrate substantial expertise and leadership experience in one or more of the following domains highlighted by the firm:
- Dispute Resolution Practice: Overseeing high-stakes litigations, corporate disputes, and recovery actions.
- M&A Transactions and Contracts: Structuring, drafting, and navigating corporate deals and restructurings.
- Real Estate Practice: Leading complex real estate transactions, documentation, and property-related legal frameworks.
- Taxation (Indirect & Direct): Handling intricate direct and indirect tax advisory, structuring, and compliance mandates.
Key Responsibilities- Mandate Leadership: Manage and lead complex corporate, commercial, and litigation mandates from inception to resolution.
- Transactional Management: Strategize, oversee, and execute matters related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder issues, and private equity/angel investments.
- Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and commercial contracts (including share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and complex commercial deeds).
- Litigation Strategy: Oversee and strategize dispute resolution proceedings before courts and tribunals (e.g., High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, and arbitral tribunals), including shareholder disputes and insolvency/bankruptcy proceedings.
- Due Diligence & Compliance: Supervise deep-dive due diligence exercises and advise clients on compliance, regulatory issues, and the acquisition of companies under insolvency frameworks.
- Team Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and delegate effectively to junior associates, optimizing team output and fostering a client-centric environment.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, offering strategic legal and commercial advice while coordinating seamlessly with external stakeholders and senior counsel.
Qualifications & Eligibility CriteriaGeneral Requirements (from Hiring Poster):- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a well-recognized university; an LL.M. is advantageous.
- Licensing: Active enrollment and in good standing with the Bar Council.
- Experience: 7+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) with a proven track record of handling high-stakes matters independently.
Technical & Legal Expertise:- Corporate Law Proficiency: Strong expertise in corporate and commercial laws, including the Companies Act, securities and capital markets, and foreign exchange regulations (FEMA).
- Insolvency & Bankruptcy Knowledge: Practical experience filing, defending, and navigating proceedings under insolvency frameworks.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced research, analytical, and legal writing skills, with a proven ability to prepare well-structured opinions, legal submissions, and comprehensive reports.
