Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dehradun for a Principal and Professor of Nursing. The Principal and Professor of Nursing will provide academic and administrative leadership for the nursing programs, including planning, implementing, and evaluating curricula in alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards. Daily responsibilities include supervising faculty, mentoring academic staff, overseeing student academic progress, and ensuring high-quality classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching. The role involves coordinating with affiliated hospitals and clinical sites, managing schedules, and ensuring that clinical placements meet learning objectives. The Principal and Professor will also lead academic governance activities, participate in strategic planning, support research and professional development, and represent the institution in external academic and regulatory forums.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Nursing, with extensive clinical and academic experience in nursing practice.
- Proven expertise in Nursing Education and Curriculum Development, including designing, delivering, and evaluating undergraduate and/or postgraduate nursing programs.
- Specialized knowledge in Pediatrics and Medicine as applied to nursing practice and teaching, with the ability to integrate these areas into coursework and clinical training.
- Advanced degree in Nursing (e.g., Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing or related field) from a recognized institution, with eligibility as a Professor under applicable regulatory norms.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities in an academic or clinical setting, including team supervision, conflict resolution, and resource planning.
- Experience with accreditation, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with nursing councils, universities, and healthcare partners.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education and ethical practice.
- Record of scholarly activity, research, or publications in nursing or health sciences is highly desirable.
