Job Title: Principal AI & FinTech Architect

Location: Remote (India)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on technologist to join as a Principal AI & FinTech Architect. This role will act as the core AI + finance R&D engine for the organization, translating high-level business ideas into scalable, production-ready AI systems.

This is a builder-first, high-ownership role, where the individual operates with significant autonomy and serves as a technical second-in-command to the CTO, with strong influence on architecture, product direction, and engineering excellence.

The role is split between:

• 70% hands-on AI + financial systems R&D
• 30% technical leadership and capability building

Key Responsibilities

AI & Financial Systems R&D (70%)

• Independently translate business problems into AI-driven technical solutions across accounting, ERP, and financial ecosystems
• Conduct deep technical discovery across financial systems, APIs, and data structures
• Design and implement AI-powered workflows using LLMs and automation frameworks
• Build rapid prototypes to validate feasibility, scalability, and business impact
• Define production-ready system architectures and ensure seamless transition to engineering teams
• Develop solutions across:
• Financial reporting automation
• Ledger intelligence
• Compliance & audit workflows
• Financial analytics
• ERP and fintech integrations

Success Metric:

End-to-end ownership from idea → validated prototype → scalable production architecture with minimal oversight

Architecture & Capability Leadership (30%)

• Establish best practices for integrating AI into product development
• Define architectural standards for AI and financial system integration
• Ensure prototypes are translated into robust, production-grade systems
• Elevate engineering standards and AI adoption across teams

Success Metric:

Improved speed, consistency, and quality of AI-driven product development

Required Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Proven track record of building and deploying AI-enabled systems in production
• Strong experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, fintech ecosystems, or structured financial data
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical discovery and solution design
• Deep expertise in designing scalable, distributed system architectures

Technical Skills

• Strong backend expertise: Python, .NET Core, system architecture
• Frontend exposure: React.js, Next.js
• Hands-on experience with LLM integration and AI tooling
• Cloud platforms: AWS / GCP / Azure
• Financial API integrations and structured data modeling
• DevOps practices and scalable system design
