The Role
This is a sales job. But the way you win is by being the most useful person in the room - not the most persuasive one. You will work with some of India's largest Banks, NBFCs, and Insurance companies to reimagine how they acquire, serve, and retain customers — using agentic AI as the architectural foundation. You will sit in boardrooms and in ops centers. You will challenge a 200-person telecalling floor's way of working and then help design what replaces it. You will build ROI cases that a CFO will defend internally, and own the outcome when they do.
You will carry a quota. And the way you earn it is by being the most credible transformation partner your clients have worked with.
This role exists at the intersection of process transformation, commercial architecture, and agentic AI. If any one of those three is missing from your profile, this is not the right role.
What You Will Do
1. Process Discovery & Transformation Architecture
Floor-Level Process Discovery: Conduct deep-dive engagements directly with frontline teams across collections, lending, insurance distribution, and sales operations, prioritizing real-world workflow and system dependencies over executive narratives to uncover true operational bottlenecks and AI adoption use cases.
Outcome-Driven Transformation Architecture: Translate messy, ground-level realities and customer data into a structured business thesis, mapping out clear hypotheses and quantified impact levers like headcount offsets, cycle-time reductions, and optimized cost-per-outcome metrics.
2. ROI & Business Case Development
Bespoke Financial Engineering & CXO Defense : Build custom, institution-specific ROI models rooted in the client’s actual data, org structure, and transformation economics (e.g., people reduction timelines, system consolidation, success fees); present and aggressively defend these business cases to CFOs, CIOs, and Business Heads while coaching internal champions to carry the argument upward.
Value Validation & Expansion: Quantify and track post-deployment impact across productivity, cost reduction, efficiency, and revenue yield to close the loop between promise and delivery, leveraging validated, realized ROI to drive commercial expansion conversations.
3. Commercial Deal Architecture
Complex Deal Architecture & Stakeholder Alignment: Structure large, multi-year enterprise deals featuring platform fees, outcome-linked components, and phased expansion triggers; navigate complex buying environments across Business, IT, Risk, Legal, and Finance to map influence, manage objections, and build consensus.
NRR & Execution Ownership: Own both new bookings and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) by tracking post-deployment consumption metrics (utilization, workflow adoption) to turn realized ROI into commercial upsells, while partnering with internal Product, Engineering, and CS teams to ensure commitments are honest and executable.
4. AI-Native Solution Design
Autonomous AI Architecture & Technical Literacy: Lead independent whiteboard sessions with client AI COEs and IT teams on agent orchestration, LLM trade-offs, and human-in-the-loop design; review API documentation to challenge implementation timelines, separating real technical constraints from stalls without relying on an internal solutions engineer.
Data-Driven PoC Design & Value Governance: Co-design proof-of-concepts alongside client ground teams by analyzing operational data to challenge human-versus-agent assumptions, while staying independently ahead of emerging agentic AI trends, peer deployments, and strict BFSI regulatory frameworks (e.g., RBI AI governance).
5. Revenue & Strategic Account Ownership
End-to-End Revenue & Pipeline Ownership: Own the full enterprise revenue cycle from closure through expansion—self-sourcing 60–70% of the pipeline—by building deep, multi-year strategic relationships with senior BFSI stakeholders rather than managing transactional vendor interactions.
Account Strategy & GTM Contribution: Partner with Customer Success to drive account strategy, renewal health, and expansion by tying realized business outcomes to new transformation opportunities, while contributing 1–2 reusable GTM assets annually (e.g., custom ROI models, discovery frameworks) to scale the playbook.
What You Will Bring
Experience & Fluency
- BFSI Transformation Track Record: 8–14 years in enterprise sales/consulting (5+ years in BFSI transformations) with a proven history of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals (₹2Cr+ ACV).
- Instant CXO Network: Active, week-one deployable relationships across Indian banks, NBFCs, or insurers, paired with hands-on process re-engineering experience.
- Domain & AI Literacy: Deep grasp of retail lending, collections, or insurance ops; fluent enough in agent orchestration, LLMs, and APIs to lead technical architecture discussions independently.
- Regulatory & Financial Rigor: Ability to build custom financial models from first principles while navigating RBI AI governance, DPDP compliance, and model risk to preempt legal/IT objections.
