About The Team
The Operational Risk Management (ORM) function is a team of Risk Professionals who promote risk management excellence by fostering a culture that is proactive, transparent and accountable, ensuring that risk is managed effectively in alignment with FCB’s risk appetite and strategic objectives. This is a second line of defense team acting as trusted advisors to the business in managing Operational Risk across multiple Risk Categories (e.g. Technology, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Operations, Finance, etc.).
Impact
This is a key role within the Bank’s second line of defense. The role is responsible to execute complex and broader oversight Operational Risk Program (ORP) over ORM Risk Programs such as controls testing, RCSA, Operational Risk Events (ORE) along with maintaining quality of deliverables supporting Audit and Regulatory remediations through validation of the final outputs.
Key Deliverables
GRC change request management
- Manage the GRC queue within Archer, change related requests.
- Review, clarify, and action change requests raised by other programs or stakeholders.
- Assess scope and impact of each request before progressing.
- Handle an average of 10 to 15 change requests per week.
- Act as the first point of contact for queries related to issue management changes or integrations.
Testing and validation support
- Participate in system testing from a program perspective and Support monthly production testing and UAT testing activities
- Validate that implemented changes meet business and functional requirements.
- Identify defects, gaps, or process issues and coordinate resolution.
Train the Trainer and knowledge materials
- Maintain and update Train the Trainer materials related to Issue Management.
- Ensure guides and supporting documentation reflect current system changes.
- Understand upcoming and implemented changes to ensure accurate training content.
- Coordinate release of updated materials when changes are introduced.
Risk data assurance and data quality
- Support the Risk Data Assurance program with a focus on data quality.
- Perform checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of issue management data.
General issue management support
- Provide ad hoc support to programs requiring assistance with Issue Management.
- Assess and communicate downstream impacts of issue management changes to other programs.
- Act as a subject matter contact for issue management processes and integrations.
- Support cross-program coordination where dependencies exist.

- 12 to 14 years of banking or financial services risk management experience
Technical Skills
- Large Financial Institution experience,
- Experience building and supporting risk programs and frameworks,
- Knowledge of risk techniques, practices, and risk and control frameworks,
- Knowledge of various banking and government regulatory requirements and processes,
- Knowledge of regulatory guidance pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk,
- Ability to work effectively with associates, senior management, and various committees,
- Ability to track and coordinate large, complex processes,
