This role is a senior finance and audit-focused position responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting across Indian legal entities. You will lead annual audit processes and coordinate closely with internal finance teams, external auditors, and regulatory stakeholders. The position involves deep ownership of financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and statutory compliance under Indian and global accounting standards. You will play a key role in reviewing US GAAP and IGAAP financials while ensuring proper adjustments and reconciliations are maintained. The role also requires strong collaboration with tax, legal, and finance teams to support compliance across multiple regulatory frameworks. This is a high-impact position suited for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a structured, audit-driven environment with strong ownership and accountability.
Accountabilities
- Lead annual audit and finance compliance workstreams across Indian legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IGAAP and US GAAP).
- Perform variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
- Review US GAAP financials and manage necessary adjustments and reconciliations under IGAAP.
- Supervise statutory compliance activities including STPI, SEZ, TDS, GST, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax, and legal teams to support audit and compliance deliverables.
- Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining internal accounting policies and financial procedures.
- Participate in financial projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant qualification preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting required.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, general ledger, and statutory compliance roles.
- Strong understanding of IGAAP and US GAAP accounting standards.
- Solid knowledge of Indian statutory compliance frameworks including STPI and indirect tax processes.
- Experience working in Big 4 firms or multinational software/technology companies is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion and balance sheet reconciliation is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
