Princeton Property Management is seeking a Transition Specialist to support our communities during staffing transitions, vacations, and temporary absences. This role functions as an on-site Community Manager, ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional resident service, and continuity across assigned properties.
The ideal candidate will have three or more years of property management experience, is adaptable, organized, and confident stepping into leadership roles across multiple communities as needed. Yardi experience preferred.
Wage: Hourly $33 to $35 - Monthly $85 phone and $400 auto reimbursement
Key Responsibilities
- Step in as the acting Community Manager during transitions or absences
- Report to the assigned Supervisor; scheduling determined by Portfolio Manager needs
- Conduct initial property assessments upon arrival, including:
- Grounds, leasing office, and maintenance/pool areas
- Identification of immediate operational or safety concerns
- Ensure all communication systems are functioning (phones, voicemail, email, etc.)
- Review vacancy and accounts receivable reports
- Provide activity summaries to the Portfolio Manager
- Communicate professionally and effectively with residents, staff, vendors, and leadership
- Supervise onsite staff and vendors as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) or more years of property management or industry-related experience
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn company software programs
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Basic math and accounting skills, including reporting and bookkeeping
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (criminal history)
- All individuals age 18+ residing onsite must also pass a background check and receive company approval
- Willingness to comply with office policy regarding non-business visitors
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
- Stand for extended periods
- Walk on even and uneven surfaces
- Climb stairs, step stools, or ladders (up to 6 ft.)
- Bend, crouch, kneel, crawl, twist, and reach as needed
- Use hands and arms frequently to handle tools or equipment
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
