About the role

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Level II HSE Technician to support onsite construction operations in Hubbard, TX. This position will be responsible for assisting with all project safety activities and ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong field safety experience within the industrial construction industry and the ability to support daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

General Requirements:

  • Practice and promote safety rules at all times.

  • Maintain accountability for all tools and materials at the end of each shift.

Functional Requirements:

  • Perform field safety audits, inspections, and assessments for onsite operations.
  • Assist with accident and incident investigations and reporting.
  • Support documentation collection and compliance tracking.
  • Assist with training functions, safety meetings, and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate instances of non-conformance and assist with corrective actions.
  • Provide input and recommendations to project management regarding safety performance and compliance.
  • Ensure federal, state, company, and site-specific safety policies and procedures are enforced.
  • Identify safety concerns and assist in resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while supporting field operations.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly inspections on tools and safety equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel, subcontractors, and management.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting records.
  • Support onsite operational discipline and safety culture initiatives.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualification Standards:

  • 3+ years of experience in an HSE or Safety role within the industrial construction industry preferred.
  • Experience in power, industrial, renewable energy, or heavy construction environments preferred.
  • OSHA 510 preferred; OSHA 500 is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA standards and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass post-offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation.
  • Must comply with all client-specific jobsite requirements and PPE policies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must comply with company drug and alcohol policies.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, stairways, and work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and fall protection equipment when required.

Work Environment:

  • Onsite in Hubbard, TX.
  • Industrial construction environment.
  • Predominantly outdoor work environment.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and uneven terrain.
  • Potential exposure to noise, heavy equipment, machinery, and chemical substances.
