Description
Join PrimeWest Health as a Subrogation Coordinator and you’ll identify and manage cases where another party—such as auto, workers’ comp, or other insurers—should pay first. You’ll track recovery opportunities, manage detailed case records, and help recover funds for PrimeWest Health and our TPA clients.
You’ll partner with internal teams, providers, and external organizations to investigate claims, ensure compliance with Coordination of Benefits and regulatory requirements, prepare reports, and represent PrimeWest Health in subrogation hearings when needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and making a measurable financial impact.

Key Requirements
- Coordinate and manage subrogation cases for PrimeWest Health and TPA clients
- Track and monitor subrogation activities to support timely resolution and recovery
- Maintain accurate, complete case records in compliance with policies and regulations
- Communicate with internal teams, external partners, attorneys, and state agencies
- Prepare and submit required subrogation reports per contract requirements
- Identify process improvement opportunities and update documentation as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and the Minnesota Data Privacy Act
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of subrogation policies and procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of subrogation rules and regulations to support compliance and operations
Educational Requirements and Required Qualifications
1. At minimum, a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience equivalent to the position requirements.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of, and proficiency in, Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
3. Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and rules applicable to health care subrogation is a plus.
4. Experience in subrogation, health care claims processing, or related health care insurance operations is a plus.
5. Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with a variety of people both within and outside of the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
