Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Primary Teacher role based in the Pune Division. The Primary Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, using diverse teaching strategies, and integrating activities that support foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and environmental awareness. The role involves assessing student progress through classwork, assignments, and tests, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining detailed records. The teacher will manage classroom routines, foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development. Additional duties include participating in staff meetings, training sessions, school events, and contributing to co-curricular and enrichment activities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Elementary Education and Education, with a clear understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
- Proficiency in Teaching and Classroom Management, with the ability to create engaging, inclusive, and structured learning experiences.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including planning, adapting, and implementing lesson plans aligned with school and board standards.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent qualification in elementary/primary education; additional certifications in teaching methodologies are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Primary Teacher or in an elementary classroom setting is preferred.
- Comfort with basic educational technology and digital teaching tools for lesson planning, instruction, and assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic coordinators, school leadership, and peer teachers in a structured school environment.
