Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for Primary School Homeroom Teachers (Grades 1–5) at Finland International Schools, located in Mumbai, India. The role involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons in alignment with the Finnish education methodology, supporting individual student learning journeys, and fostering a positive and creative classroom environment. Additional responsibilities include assessing and monitoring student progress, collaborating with parents, guardians, and colleagues, and participating in school events and activities to nurture a cohesive school community.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Curriculum Development and knowledge of Elementary Education principles
- Proven experience in Teaching and ability to foster hands-on and inclusive learning environments
- Excellent Communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for Education and commitment to applying child-centered learning philosophies
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Prior teaching experience, especially in primary education, is highly desirable
- Familiarity or experience with Finnish education models is a significant advantage
- Creative problem-solving skills and an empathetic approach to teaching
