Summary – Basic Function Of The Role
The Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Enerpac’s multi-brand, global pricing operations. This role is responsible for executing and maintaining price strategies across the Americas and EMEA, managing pricing data in Oracle, and developing tools and processes that drive accuracy, transparency, and competitiveness.
In addition to day-to-day price administration, this role partners closely with sales, product management, finance, and commercial strategy to support annual pricing cycles, perform margin and impact analysis, and develop pricing tools. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail, business acumen, and proficiency in Oracle, Excel, and other data systems.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Americas Sales Operations and is supported locally by the Enerpac India site leader.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; evenings and weekends may be required
Location: Bangalore, India; In-office Monday – Thursday, Friday optional work-from-home
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Price List Management and Updates: Own and manage multi-brand, multi-currency Oracle price lists across multiple regions. Ensure data accuracy, consistent versioning, and timely updates in line with business strategy. Lead the periodic pricing update process, including deadline coordination, cost and margin analysis, and currency/inflation adjustments. Prepare and validate bulk data uploads for Oracle.
- ERP Support: Set up and manage Oracle price lists, discount structures, and pricing modifiers to reflect commercial terms and regional business models.
- Custom Pricing Support: Directly and indirectly support our sales operations and field sales teams with custom pricing support, which could include custom products, new OEM initiatives, products that require pricing at the time of order, as well as any distributor discounting programs that require special quotations.
- Internal Pricing Tools: Create and maintain internal pricing tools, configurators, and templates that support the field sales organization and ensure operational consistency. This may include updating pricing in multiple formats for our channel partners that have custom pricing templates.
- Pricing Recommendations and Impact Analysis: Provide regional pricing input based on competitive analysis, market conditions, product strategy, and commercial feedback from sales and product teams. Support price modeling scenarios, assess margin impact, and deliver insights that inform pricing decisions and commercial strategy in collaboration with our US-based commercial business analyst and India-based business intelligence team.
- Competitive Pricing Database: Build and maintain a global competitive pricing database across brands, lines of business (LOBs), and geographies.
- Second-Brand Strategy: Support differentiated pricing and processing strategy in collaboration with the product team for second-brand initiatives to include positioning, including Oracle setup and strategic guidance.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle pricing, resolving errors, troubleshooting discrepancies, and coordinating with IT/ERP support teams.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of price list accuracy, harmonized discount structures, and overall pricing system integrity.
- Documentation and Governance: Maintain SOPs, support audits, and uphold pricing governance processes.
Skills And Competencies
- Advanced analytical skills with experience applying both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Proficient in price modeling, margin analysis, and data interpretation.
- Advanced Excel skills are required (including formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling).
- Experience with Oracle, SQL, and Power BI is strongly preferred.
- Ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights and business recommendations.
- Excellent attention to detail, process orientation, and time management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, but as part of a global team with multiple stakeholders.
- Prior experience in finance, pricing, commercial analytics, or similar analytical roles is a strong advantage.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pricing, commercial analytics, finance, or operations roles.
- Global B2B experience and familiarity with industrial markets or distribution models preferred.
