The Role
At Presidio, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Technical Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of engaging with clients, leading technical teams, and overseeing the successful implementation of cloud solutions. This role will require the effective delivery of cloud engagements and necessitate wearing multiple hats, including those of architects, delivery leads, and QA reviewers within the same projects, while also leading multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
We are seeking technical solution partners to collaborate with delivery teams and the customer’s organization, ensuring success for both our customers and Presidio. This is especially vital in implementing major new transformational projects and improving our existing relationships with large customers.
Responsibilities Include
- Design, socialize, secure buy-in for, and break down an integrated hybrid/multi-cloud systems architecture into discrete, shippable tasks.
- Create designs for networking, storage, and security in multi-cloud environments.
- Define strategies for cloud migration, including lift-and-shift, refactoring, and re-platforming approaches.
- Evaluate on-premises application portfolios to identify optimal migration paths.
- Define and break down cloud migration and development tasks into actionable items, sequencing them effectively to align with project milestones and dependencies.
- Show expertise as a cloud specialist to the client through guidance and recommended solutions.
- Lead various technical engagements for a select group of named customers, emphasizing cloud strategy and migrations, IT transformation, and modernization initiatives.
- Own technical delivery (end-to-end) responsibilities that include achieving and continuously improving the quality and time-to-market metrics.
- Primary ownership of customer satisfaction for named customer engagements.
- Manage product requirements, technical considerations, and decisions to deliver the desired customer outcome.
- Invest time to understand the customer’s long and short-term business goals and align Presidio’s priorities to deliver both tactical wins and lay the foundation for longer-term success for both the customer and Presidio.
- Lead and deliver workshops for cloud initiatives.
- Lead and deliver technology strategy sessions for customers with an ability to engage C-level leaders, architects, business stakeholders, and customers’ engineering teams.
- Proactively ensure that technology decisions, investments, and capabilities map to business outcomes.
- Proactively seek opportunities to translate business requirements to technical requirements and vice versa.
- When required, take primary ownership of engagements in challenging situations and work with customer and internal stakeholders to bring the engagement towards success.
- Invest time in understanding customers’ organizational culture and align Presidio’s delivery teams and processes towards the fastest path to success.
- Quickly assimilate into the client team, project team, and culture, becoming a valuable contributor.
- Experience prioritizing competing demands from stakeholders with the ability to resolve conflicts.
- Build relationships with customer stakeholders across all levels, including leadership, business, and technical stakeholders, and identify potential opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders and customers across the organization to communicate the product vision, strategy, features, prioritization, progress, and needs.
- Research the latest market and business changes to determine their potential impact on current strategy and requirements. Share any pertinent findings with the customer.
Required Skills And Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an architect or technology program lead delivering migration, transformation programs, or modernization projects on the Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience in consultative delivery of large-scale business & technology transformation programs, working directly with senior client leaders.
- Consulting firm experience
- Experience in applying proven consulting methodologies to assess a client’s current state, design a target state, conduct a gap analysis, and define a roadmap to get from the current state to the target state across people, processes, and technology.
- Desire to build business capability canvases, or equivalent, and map business outcomes to technology capabilities and cloud investments.
- Desire to build business cases, with a preference for cloud business cases as part of a client’s cloud journey or digital transformation.
- Strong knowledge in at least one of the cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Can hold intelligent conversations with clients about the virtues of various cloud providers.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, both written and oral, along with strong listening, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
- Experience mentoring and executing Agile best practices.
- Demonstrated experience of working successfully with SW development teams, onshore and offshore
- Demonstrable skills across project development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall)
- Strong facilitation skills and experience leading workshops
- Experience with Cloud / Azure / Microsoft O365 suite of tools
- Outstanding overall communication, presentation, and leadership skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Sharp analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Creative thinker with a vision
Preferred Skills And Professional Experience
- 6+ years in technology consulting, preferably at one of the Big Four.
- A genuine passion for delivering quality products that meet customer needs.
- Strong thought leadership, team building, motivational and customer service skills
- Recognized as a technical thought leader in building modern cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, a self-starter.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and have ownership of learning new tools as applicable to help in the requirements gathering, refinement, and management process.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Works as a team player, willing to perform other tasks to help the team, even if not part of their defined role and responsibilities.
