Role Summary in detail
The Center Coordinator is responsible for the smooth day‑to‑day functioning of the preschool’s internal operations. This role focuses on academic execution, classroom quality, staff coordination, parent communication, and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The Center Coordinator works closely with the Center Leader/Manager and steps in to manage operations in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Classroom Operations
Ensure daily academic plans and the 360° program are implemented effectively across classrooms.
Monitor classroom activities to maintain quality teaching standards.
Support educators in lesson planning, classroom management, and activity execution.
Ensure curriculum timelines, assessments, and documentation are completed on schedule.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
2. Floor Management & Team Support
Be actively present on the floor during school hours.
Coordinate with teachers and support staff to ensure smooth transitions and routines.
Address on‑the‑spot concerns related to children, staff, or parents.
Step in to support classrooms whenever required.
Maintain discipline, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the center.
3. Staff Coordination & Development
Guide and mentor educators to maintain high performance standards.
Assist in onboarding and training of new staff members.
Encourage teamwork and a positive work culture aligned with organizational values.
Track staff attendance, punctuality, and daily responsibilities.
4. Parent Interaction & Relationship Management
Act as a point of contact for parents for day‑to‑day concerns.
Ensure timely communication regarding child progress, events, and activities.
Support parent meetings, orientations, and events.
Maintain a warm, professional relationship with families.
5. Admissions & Inquiry Retention
Handle walk‑in inquiries and school tours when the Center Leader is unavailable.
Provide accurate information about programs, curriculum, and facilities.
Follow up on inquiries to support admissions conversion.
Maintain inquiry and admission records.
6. Administrative & Compliance Duties
Ensure daily reports, attendance records, and documentation are maintained.
Coordinate implementation of policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards.
Support planning and execution of events, celebrations, and activities.
Monitor inventory of classroom materials and supplies.
7. Collaboration with Center Leader
Work closely with the Center Leader on operational planning.
Share updates, challenges, and recommendations regularly.
Take charge of center operations in the absence of the Center Leader.
