Summary:
Provides exceptional patient experience for every case and maintains high accuracy in all scheduling tasks. Uses advanced visit types within a multi‑disciplinary specialty and ensures all prior authorizations, certifications, and referrals are fully validated before any procedure. Performs non‑clinical pre‑surgery education for patients and families and coordinates admission paperwork when needed. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent patient experience using CARES, AIDET, and EPE.
- Resolve complaints promptly and escalate when appropriate.
- Round on waiting patients to ensure comfort and communicate delays.
- Schedule patients and verify demographics.
- Explain coverage, prior authorizations, referrals, and cost expectations.
- Schedule invasive procedures in 1:1 sessions.
- Provide non‑clinical instructions to patients and families.
- Coordinate with OR staff and follow OR scheduling protocols.
- Schedule pre‑admission and radiology appointments; monitor patient compliance.
- Refer patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
- Confirm all required authorizations and referrals before procedures and notify stakeholders of issues.
- Create accurate telephone encounter messages and route to the correct Epic in‑basket pools.
- Educate patients on Release of Information and ensure complete ROI forms reach Health Information Management.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Short‑term Medical Terminology training.
Minimum 12 months clinical experience.
Proficient in prior authorization, certification, and referral processes.
Must pass EPIC Registration competency after clerical training.
Working knowledge of CPT and ICD‑10 coding.
Strong organizational skills; able to maintain professionalism under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Schedule patient appointments (testing, procedures, clinician visits) by phone or in person.
Coordinate complex scheduling needs, including surgeons, resources, and proctors.
Verify patient demographics and ensure accurate registration.
