Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned CPG Domain Consultant to join our dynamic CPG vertical. In this strategic role, you will be the linchpin between our clients' business challenges and our advanced technical capabilities. You will be instrumental in architecting and delivering high-impact AI and data-driven solutions that solve complex problems across the CPG value chain, with a strong focus on Revenue Growth Management (RGM), marketing, and supply chain.
You will collaborate closely with our world-class teams of data scientists, data engineers, digital engineers, and supply chain functional experts to design, develop, and deploy bespoke solutions that drive tangible business outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Domain Leadership & Solution Design: Act as the primary CPG domain expert within a client engagement. Lead business problem discovery workshops, understand client needs, and translate them into a clear vision and roadmap for analytical and AI-powered solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the strategic bridge between the business and technology. Work seamlessly with data science teams to guide model development, with data engineering teams to define data requirements, and with digital engineering teams to ensure the final solution is user-centric and scalable.
- Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Expertise: Leverage deep expertise in RGM levers (pricing strategy, promotion optimization, assortment, trade spend) to design and implement solutions like price elasticity modeling, portfolio optimization, and promotion effectiveness analysis.
- Solution Development Lifecycle: Guide the solution development process from concept to deployment. Define business requirements, create functional specifications, and ensure the technical solution aligns with the strategic objectives.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on all matters related to CPG analytics and business transformation.
- Thought Leadership & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes. Contribute to the development of new Tredence solution offerings and intellectual property within the CPG domain.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 14+ years of experience in the CPG industry or in a consulting role serving CPG clients.
- Deep functional knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Revenue Growth Management (RGM), sales and marketing, brand management, trade marketing, or supply chain.
- Proven experience in translating business problems into analytical or technology-driven solutions.
- Strong understanding of CPG data sources such as Nielsen/IRI/Circana panel and retail data, sales/shipment data, financial P&L data, and promotional calendars.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both business and technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.

- Experience working in a hands-on analytics environment and a foundational understanding of data science and machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS) and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in designing interactive dashboards and business simulators.
- A consulting mindset with strong problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
