Job Description – Pre-Sales Analyst
Experience Required- 2–5 Years
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Pre-Sales Analyst to support the
business development and delivery teams in evaluating opportunities, analyzing
requirements, preparing solution documentation, and coordinating internal pre-sales
activities.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and documentation capabilities,
with the ability to understand business requirements, structure solution approaches, and
collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, design, development,
and project management.
This role primarily focuses on internal pre-sales operations, solution analysis, proposal
support, estimation coordination, and documentation management to ensure high-
quality and timely submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Qualification
Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and client requirements.
Understand business objectives, technical scope, and project expectations.
Participate in discovery calls and requirement gathering sessions.
Identify project risks, dependencies, assumptions, and scope gaps.
Support sales teams in opportunity qualification and prioritization.
Solutioning & Requirement Analysis
Translate business requirements into functional and high-level technical
understanding.
Coordinate with delivery, design, development, and QA teams for effort
estimations.
Prepare scope documents, feature lists, assumptions, and project approaches.
Assist in creating implementation roadmaps and delivery plans.
Support creation of wireframes, workflows, or process documentation when
required.
Proposal & Documentation
Prepare proposals, presentations, SOWs, capability decks, and estimation
documents.
Create clear and structured BOQs, effort breakdowns, and pricing summaries.
Ensure proposals are aligned with customer expectations and company
capabilities.
Maintain proposal templates and reusable knowledge assets.
Internal Coordination & Proposal Support
Coordinate with internal sales, delivery, design, and technical teams during the
pre-sales lifecycle.
Consolidate functional and technical inputs required for proposals and
estimations.
Support preparation of presentations, scope summaries, and solution
documentation.
Ensure smooth transition of approved project scope and documentation to
delivery teams.
Maintain consistency, accuracy, and completeness across pre-sales documents.
Market & Process Support
Conduct basic competitor and market research when needed.
Maintain CRM updates and pre-sales documentation.
Improve internal pre-sales processes and estimation standards.
Contribute to creation of case studies, reusable solution frameworks, and sales
collateral.
Required Skills
Functional Skills
Strong requirement gathering and analytical skills.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Ability to structure and document business requirements clearly.
Experience preparing proposals, estimations, or solution documents.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to coordinate across sales and technical teams.
Technical Understanding
Basic understanding of:
Web and mobile application development
CMS platforms such as WordPress
APIs and integrations
UI/UX workflows
Cloud-based applications and SaaS models
CRM/ERP/LMS/HRMS or enterprise applications (preferred)
Tools
Preferred familiarity with:
MS Office / Google Workspace
Excel for estimation and effort calculations
PowerPoint / Presentation tools
CRM tools (Zoho, HubSpot, etc.)
Project management tools (Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Asana, etc.)
Preferred Profile
Experience in IT services, software consulting, digital solutions, or technology
services environment.
Strong business analysis and documentation orientation.
Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.
Strong coordination and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented mindset with ability to manage multiple opportunities
simultaneously.
Professional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Applications, IT, or
related field.
MBA or business analysis certifications are an advantage.
