Role Description The Premium Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dadri. In this role, the counselor will guide students through the complete study-abroad process, including understanding their academic background, career goals, and preferences, and recommending suitable countries, universities, and courses. The counselor will assist students with application timelines, documentation, test preparation planning, and coordination for education loans and visa processes. Day-to-day tasks include conducting counseling sessions (in-person and via phone or video), responding to student and parent queries, maintaining accurate records in internal systems, and following up to ensure students progress smoothly through each stage. The Premium Counselor will also collaborate with internal teams, stay updated on international education trends and requirements, and uphold a student-centric, ethical approach to advising.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student profiles, aspirations, and constraints, and provide clear, structured guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex processes in simple terms and build trust with students and families.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, including managing multiple student cases, tracking application stages, and meeting deadlines.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including CRM or student management systems, video conferencing tools, and basic office software.
- Knowledge or strong interest in international higher education systems, admission requirements, standardized tests, and visa processes (formal experience in study-abroad counseling is an advantage).
- Ability to work on-site in Dadri, collaborate with team members, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced Ed-Tech environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; degrees in education, counseling, psychology, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, customer success, or education services is beneficial; fluency in English and at least one regional language is an asset.
