ROLE OVERVIEW
BCITS is on a strategic growth trajectory to become the leading Utility Digital Transformation partner across India and select international markets. The Pre-Sales Executive will serve as the technical and commercial bridge between customer RFP requirements and BCITS’ bSmart product platform offerings including ORMS, RF-Mesh, uHES, MDM, WFMS, GIS, CSOC, GTD, and AquaGrid along with full AMISP services.
The incumbent will be responsible for driving higher bid win-rates across large-scale projects and converting tenders, RFPs, and customer requirements into compelling, compliant, and solution-oriented proposals aligned with customer and business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bid & RFP Management: Track and manage tenders across KPPP, GeM, and other e-Procurement portals for ESCOMs, KPTCL, BESCOM, and PFC/REC AMISP projects. Drive end-to-end RFP response management including eligibility assessment, technical and commercial documentation, EMD, PBG, and MAF submissions.
- Solution Engineering: Design and configure end-to-end solutions across the BCITS bSmart platform including Billing/CIS, AMI (RF-Mesh, Cellular HES, MDM), WFMS, GIS, and Cloud solutions aligned to customer RFP requirements across DBFOOT, Turnkey, OEM, and SI engagement models.
- Costing & Pricing: Prepare detailed BoQ, BoM, and commercial pricing models covering Pay-per-Meter, Pay-per-Consumer, Capex, Opex, and ATS structures. Collaborate with Finance teams on margin analysis, working capital planning, and PBG impact assessment.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct product demonstrations, POCs, technical workshops, and pre-bid discussions with DISCOM CGMs, IT Heads, and AMISP stakeholders. Address bidder queries, clarifications, and addenda responses within defined timelines.
- Partner & OEM Coordination: Manage consortium and subcontracting engagements with cloud providers, IT infrastructure partners, meter OEMs, telecom providers, and system integrators. Coordinate MAFs, technical compliance documents, and partner certifications.
- Compliance & Differentiation: Ensure adherence to SBD requirements, PFC AMISP guidelines, REC empanelment norms, CMMI L5, ISO 27001, and DPDP Act compliance. Develop win themes that effectively position BCITS’ 25+ years of utility expertise and competitive differentiation.
- Knowledge Management: Build and maintain a centralised repository of case studies, compliance matrices, datasheets, OEM certificates, past project credentials, pricing benchmarks, and proposal templates for future bid readiness.
- Pipeline & Reporting: Maintain bid pipeline and opportunity tracking within CRM systems. Support sales governance through pipeline reviews, forecasting, win/loss analysis, and reporting aligned to the FY revenue plan.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Information Technology is mandatory. An MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Power Management will be preferred for Manager-level roles.
- Experience: 3 –10 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Bid Management, or Solution Consulting within Utility, Power Distribution, Smart Metering, or IT System Integration domains. Exposure to ESCOM, DISCOM, RDSS, AMISP, Smart City, or PSU IT projects and bidding environments is highly preferred.
- Domain Skills: Strong understanding of Smart Metering (AMI/AMR), HES, MDM, RF-Mesh and Cellular Communication technologies, Billing & CIS, GIS, Workforce Management Systems, Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure), and Cyber Security fundamentals.
- Tools & Platforms: Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint), MS Project, Visio, CRM platforms (Zoho / Salesforce), GeM, KPPP, and various e-Procurement portals.
