Role Summary
You’ll be the analytical backbone of our pre-sales function—translating customer needs and state regulations into right-sized solar solutions with clear financial outcomes. You’ll lead discovery, size systems from real consumption, validate technical designs, run financial models, and shape offers that balance feasibility and ROI.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Requirements
· Conduct discovery meetings with sales managers to capture business needs, challenges, and project goals.
· Convert qualitative inputs and 12-month consumption data into a clear feasibility brief.
· Finalize optimal system size (CAPEX/OPEX/Hybrid) based on data, site realities, and policy limits.
· Energy Trading Experience – Credit and Risk.
Consumption & Regulatory Analysis
· Build a Consumption Analysis Report: load profiles, ToD splits, peak/contract demand, anomalies.
· Map state/division regulations (net metering/open access, banking, losses, charges, caps) and flag constraints/risks.
System Sizing & Tech Handover
· Prepare structured handover for the design team (assumptions, constraints, targets, and BOM scope).
Design Collaboration & Validation
· Co-create solutions with Technical/Design teams; iterate to reach optimum capacity vs. generation.
· Review PVsyst outputs and SketchUp layouts for compliance with customer requirements and site constraints.
Financial Modelling & Offer (Proper training will be given for the financial modelling- no experience needed for this part)
· Build/maintain project financial models (IRR, NPV, DSCR, payback, tariff/escalation scenarios).
· Translate analysis into a clear commercial offer with options and trade-offs.
Required Skills & Experience
· 2–3 years in pre-sales/analyst roles (renewables/energy/utilities preferred).
· Strong Excel/Google Sheets (Strong Excel skill is a must)
· Working knowledge of PVsyst and SketchUp (review level; hands-on a plus).
· Understanding of Indian/state solar regulations (net metering, OA, banking, losses, wheeling/SLDC, ToD tariffs). (Preferably with Open Access System sizing experience)
· Ability to interpret electricity bills, interval data, and load curves.
· Clear written & verbal communication; stakeholder coordination across Sales, Design, and Procurement.
· Financial modelling (not a pre-requisite- Proper training will be given)
Nice to Have
· Exposure to CAPEX vs. OPEX/RESCO models and hybrid (solar + BESS).
· EPC/O&M commercial awareness (makes, warranties, SLAs).
Education
· Bachelor’s in Engineering, Energy- Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent

· Location: Pune (Viman Nagar) or as specified
