About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Practice Head to lead our Python Automation practice. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction, building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams, and driving the adoption of Python-based automation solutions across the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, efficient automation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a team of Python engineers focused on automation and intelligent systems.

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for the Python Automation practice, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Architect and oversee the development of large-scale automation frameworks, pipelines, and workflows.

• Champion best practices in software engineering: code quality, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

• Partner with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end automation solutions.

• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs) for intelligent automation.

• Drive API design and development standards across the practice.

• Collaborate with database and data engineering teams on SQL-based data automation.

• Represent the practice in stakeholder meetings, technical reviews, and client engagements.

• Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and technical hiring.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on professional experience with Python, with a strong focus on automation.

• Proven experience in a technical leadership or practice lead role managing engineering teams.

• Deep expertise in Python ecosystem tools: Celery, Airflow, FastAPI, pytest, asyncio, etc.

• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.

• Demonstrated ability to build robust, production-grade automation pipelines and frameworks.

• Proficiency in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong problem-solving ability with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) — OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, or similar frameworks.

• Experience integrating LLM-based agents into automation workflows (RAG, prompt engineering, tool use).

• Strong SQL skills — query optimization, stored procedures, and data pipeline design.

• API development experience — RESTful and GraphQL API design, documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), and security.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure (Lambda, Cloud Functions, etc.).

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of MLOps practices and integrating ML models into automation systems.
