PR & Strategic Communications Lead (Institutional Narrative, Media & Research Translation)
Location: Mumbai / Delhi
About The Role
This role requires a senior communications professional who can operate at the intersection of media, research, leadership narrative, and internal communication. The individual will be responsible for translating research insights, market views, and deal activities into clear, credible, and consistent narratives for both external and internal stakeholders.
This is a strategic communications role that requires strong judgment, financial understanding, and the ability to build institutional credibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Media & External Communications:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key financial journalists, editors, and opinion platforms
- Drive proactive and reactive media engagement including:
- Quote requests
- Market commentary
- Authored articles
- Panel placements
- Leadership interviews
- Ensure consistent and high-quality presence across Tier-1 business and financial media
- Manage and guide PR agencies with clear narratives, priorities, and communication guidelines
- Research & Deal Narrative Translation:
- Collaborate closely with Institutional Equities, Investment Banking, Wealth, and Asset Management teams
- Understand research outputs, sector views, and deal rationales
- Translate complex financial analysis into media-ready notes, explainers, and narratives
- Convert research insights, deal announcements, and market perspectives into credible media and social communication
- Act as a bridge between analytical teams and external communication channels
- Thought Leadership & Content Development:
- Develop and publish authored articles, opinion pieces, and special reports
- Ensure content reflects institutional thinking and long-term market perspectives
- Partner with leadership to shape views on:
- Market cycles and wealth creation
- Capital formation
- Governance
- Long-term value creation
- Internal Communication:
- Lead internal communication initiatives to strengthen the overall institutional narrative
- Build brand pride and a shared sense of identity across teams
- Improve understanding of different business verticals internally
- Support leadership communication during strategic initiatives, organizational changes, and major milestones
- Social Media & Digital Communication:
- Manage the organization’s presence on platforms such as LinkedIn and X
- Share insight-led and research-backed narratives
- Position leadership voices effectively on digital platforms
- Convert research and deal activity into credible and professional digital content
- Ensure social media communication reflects trust and institutional credibility
Candidate Requirements
Must Have:
- 10–12+ years of experience in corporate communications or PR within capital markets
- Strong relationships with business and financial media
- Ability to interpret and simplify financial and market research
- Experience engaging with analysts, bankers, investors, and senior leadership
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Preferred
- Background in financial journalism, research communications, or strategy-led PR
- Experience handling communications across multiple business verticals under a single brand
- Strong judgment on public messaging and reputation management
