The PPC Engineer is responsible for end-to-end production planning and material control within the uPVC windows and doors manufacturing environment. This role ensures uninterrupted operations by coordinating material flow, manpower planning, and cross-functional communication to consistently meet customer delivery commitments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement in the production line to ensure continuous and uninterrupted operations.
- Prepare and communicate daily production plans and dispatch plans to the dispatch team.
- Develop and publish production schedules in coordination with the corporate Job Cards Team, Operations team, and Customer Service department to meet customer delivery dates.
- Evaluate production control activities to ensure final products meet customer specifications.
Material & Resource Management
- Plan material requirements (profiles and reinforcement) and manpower availability to meet the production schedule.
- Track material (profiles, reinforcement, and accessories) shortages and provide immediate resolution by escalating to the Production Manager.
- Prepare and maintain a daily material shortage list and coordinate with the Purchase department for supply commitments.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the Commercial Department regarding loading vehicles and dispatch logistics.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and publish reports including Production Plan vs. Actual Schedule Adherence.
- Maintain and update daily Production Reports and Dispatch Reports.
- Monitor and report on daily production targets and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of uPVC door and window fabrication processes and production workflows.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting, scheduling, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems for production planning and material tracking.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage priorities effectively.
