Job Title: Powertrain Design Engineer/Stack up Analysis
Experience : 3+ years
Location : Chennai
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Powertrain Design Engineer to design and develop components such as air intake systems, fuel systems, and transmission parts, from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop powertrain components.
- Work on plastics, sheet metal, casting, and machining processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration.
- Perform tolerance stack-up (VSA) analysis to ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled parts.
- Apply GD&T and maintain engineering drawing standards.
- Ensure timely delivery with high-quality output.
- Contribute to problem-solving and support innovation in EV/battery-related designs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of powertrain systems and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in EV powertrain or battery pack design.
- Knowledge of CAD tools (CATIA/Creo/NX).
