Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Power BI Engineer with 4–7 years of experience in Power BI and SQL to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data visualization, data modeling, SQL query writing, and translating business requirements into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements
- Create efficient data models, DAX measures, and calculated columns in Power BI
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction and transformation
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Perform data analysis and provide actionable insights to business teams
- Troubleshoot report performance issues and optimize dashboard usability
- Ensure proper documentation of reports, data sources, and business logic
- Support report deployment, testing, and production issues when needed
Required Skills
4–7 years of experience in Power BI development
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Power BI Desktop
- Power BI Service
- DAX
- Data modeling
- Strong experience in SQL
- Good understanding of ETL/data transformation concepts
- Experience in creating interactive visualizations, drill-through reports, KPIs, and dashboards
- Knowledge of report performance tuning and best practices
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power Query / M language
- Knowledge of Azure / cloud-based data platforms
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts
- Experience working in Agile teams
