Hiring: Power BI Developer📍 Remote (India) — NCR preferred
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong data analysis skills, excellent storytelling abilities, and solid experience working with cloud environments and modern data platforms. 🔹 Role: Power BI DeveloperJob DescriptionAs a Power BI Developer, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business decision‑making.
- Build intuitive visualizations that clearly communicate complex insights.
- Integrate and prepare data from multiple sources — SQL databases, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms.
- Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query.
- Create DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs based on business requirements.
- Work closely with business users to translate reporting needs into effective solutions.
- Analyze data to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Optimize existing dashboards for performance and usability.
- Publish and manage reports on Power BI Service, including workspace, dataset, and access management.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and follow governance/security practices.
- Schedule and monitor data refreshes, ensuring high availability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and cross‑functional teams.
- Maintain documentation for data sources, data models, and dashboard designs.
- Support ongoing enhancements, issue resolution, and maintenance efforts.
🔹 Primary Skills Required- Power BI Desktop: Strong hands-on dashboard/report development.
- DAX: Proficient in writing measures and calculated fields.
- Power Query (M): Data preparation and transformation.
- Data Modeling: Understanding star schema, relationships, normalization.
- SQL: Ability to write intermediate queries for data extraction.
- Power BI Service: Publishing, scheduling refreshes, workspace management.
- Cloud Experience: Exposure to Azure/AWS/GCP data services preferred.
- Data Visualization Best Practices: Storytelling, user-centric design.
- Dashboard Optimization: Performance tuning techniques.
- Data Governance: Understanding access controls & security guidelines.
- Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration with business stakeholders.
🔹 Candidate Profile- 4+ years of experience in BI, reporting, or data analytics.
- Hands-on expertise with Power BI and SQL is mandatory.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage evolving requirements.
- Experience working in global or dual‑shore delivery models is a plus.
- Familiarity with additional BI tools or cloud data stacks is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a storytelling mindset.
