Role Description As a Power BI Developer at Compass Clock Consultancy, you will design, build, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making. In this full-time hybrid role based in Chennai, you will work partly on-site and partly from home, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust data models and visualizations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, writing and optimizing DAX queries, and ensuring data quality, security, and performance. You will document solutions, provide end-user training, and respond to ad hoc reporting needs. The role also involves continuously improving existing analytics solutions and staying current with Power BI and related data technologies.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts relevant to data modeling, databases, and software systems.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to build and maintain scalable data solutions and automation scripts.
- Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development to integrate Power BI with enterprise applications, APIs, and data services.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (reports, dashboards, DAX, Power Query) and data visualization best practices.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases; familiarity with data warehousing or ETL tools is an advantage.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and clear, actionable dashboards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a hybrid work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
