Job Objective
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power System Engineer to join our team, specializing in grid simulation studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced power system analyses and simulations to support the planning, operation, and optimization of renewable energy projects.
Roles & Responsibilities (as stated and not limited to)
- Develop and validate models for renewable energy integration (wind, solar etc. with/without BESS) with grid (any CTU and/or STU)
- Perform steady-state, dynamic, and transient analysis of power systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (CEA, CTU, etc.)
- Ensure designs meet grid codes (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NERC) and provide technical input for regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with design & project teams to assess system impact studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, stability assessments, technical inputs during project design and execution.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations summarizing findings, methodologies, and recommendations carried out by self or third-party vendors.
- Engage in project management activities during commissioning and FTC, ensuring projects are delivered.
- Lead selection and guide management on of grid complaint IBRs and project components.
- Lead coordination with OEMs to ensure timely availability, validation, and regulatory compliance of components models for plant level grid studies and approvals
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams to design solutions for emerging challenges in power systems.
- Support the development of innovative methodologies for project design and tools for grid simulation and modelling.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in power system technology and simulation tools.
- Building relationships with CTU, CEA, RLDCs, OEMs, Third party simulation vendors etc.
- Conduct load flow studies for grid evacuation possibilities with external consultants.
- Techno-commercial appraisal of the grid connection requirements. Evaluating potential for cost reduction of contestable works, network constraints, and grid risk mitigation.

Phd. / M.E. / M. Tech Power Systems
Experience
7-10 years in power systems and at least 2 years in renewable power system simulations
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and grid operations.
- Proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, Power World, MATLAB/Simulink, Dig SILENT, etc.).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) for automation and tool development is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of the grid network of CTU and STU both for distribution and transmission.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
