We provide virtual services to global clients and this position is to support the design and implementation of automation solutions across the organization of our client from Canadian Mortgage industry which specialises in facilitating commercial, multifamily and construction mortgage financing.
NOTE: This is a 6 months contract position with potential to extend.
Position Overview
This role will focus on building and optimizing workflows using
Power Automate, developing applications in
Power Apps, and leveraging
Copilot Studio to enhance productivity and streamline business processes.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who can translate business requirements into scalable, low-code solutions while maintaining governance and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Automation (Power Automate)
- Design, build, and maintain automated workflows across SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 tools
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing flows (performance, error handling, reliability)
- Implement approval processes, document routing, and notifications
- Integrate Power Automate with external systems (APIs, connectors where feasible)
- App Development (Power Apps)
- Develop and enhance canvas and model-driven apps to support operational workflows
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and design user-friendly interfaces
- Implement data integrations with SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, and other sources
- Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of applications
- Copilot Studio & AI Enablement
- Build and deploy Copilot/virtual agents to enhance internal workflows
- Develop conversational flows to automate repetitive tasks and knowledge retrieval
- Integrate Copilot solutions with Power Platform and business processes
- Process Improvement & Documentation
- Analyze manual processes and identify automation opportunities
- Document workflows, logic, and SOPs (aligned with internal process documentation standards)
- Recommend best practices for automation governance and security
- Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide support for deployed solutions (bug fixes, enhancements)
- Monitor usage and performance metrics
Required
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform:
- Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, connectors)
- Power Apps
- Experience integrating with SharePoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Strong understanding of low-code architecture, data flows, and automation best practices
- Experience troubleshooting automation issues (failed runs, triggers, errors)
- Experience with Copilot Studio / Power Virtual Agents
- Knowledge of APIs, JSON, and custom connectors
- Experience with Dataverse and governance frameworks
- Experience in financial services, real estate, or operations-heavy environments preferred
