Think Design Collaborative is looking for a Power BI / Tableau-Visualisation Developer for leading successful execution and delivery of world-class projects using Tableau. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated ability to design engaging and interactive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI and possess the knowledge and experience on data visualization best practices, with a focus on enhancing user interaction and user experience, working in close collaboration with user experience designers to implement design driven Power BI / Tableau dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report and Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
- Data Modeling: Build and maintain complex data models, implement data transformations, and create calculated columns/measures using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Data Integration: Work with various data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, APIs, and more to connect and retrieve data for reporting.
- Data Visualization: Apply best practices in data visualization to ensure that reports and dashboards are user-friendly, meaningful, and actionable.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in reports and data models and work on optimizing them for better speed and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver insights.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support for Power BI reports, resolve issues, and ensure smooth data flow for reporting purposes.
- Documentation: Document the Power BI solutions, processes, and workflows for both internal use and future reference.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with data security protocols and governance when working with sensitive data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 -5 years of hands-on experience working with Power BI/Tableau-Visualisation in a development or similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Tableau, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX.
- Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
- Experience in FMCG, B2C or enterprise-related projects will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in writing and optimising SQL queries.
- Experience with data modelling and data visualisation best practices.
- Familiarity with Power BI gateways and data refresh schedules.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders.
