About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Power BI / Data Analytics Lead to act as an extension of the client's onsite Business Intelligence team. This is a techno-functional leadership role requiring strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, Data Engineering, stakeholder management, and analytics solution design.
The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology by translating requirements into scalable analytical solutions while driving engineering standards, governance, and delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design and development of enterprise Power BI solutions.
- Create technical design documents, solution specifications, and data contracts.
- Define and enforce BI development standards, coding guidelines, QA processes, and governance.
- Guide developers on best practices for Power BI, SQL, and Data Engineering.
Business Partnership
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
- Present reporting options, dashboards, and analytical recommendations.
- Act as the primary bridge between business users and the development team.
Data Engineering
- Provide hands-on support for SQL development and data engineering activities.
- Work across legacy pipelines and modern Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
- Ensure high-quality data integration, transformation, and reporting accuracy.
- Support architecture decisions for scalable analytics platforms.
Delivery Excellence
- Review deliverables for quality and completeness.
- Mentor developers and conduct technical reviews.
- Drive timely project execution while maintaining engineering standards.
- Collaborate closely with onsite client teams.
Required Skills
- 9+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Engineering.
- Expert-level hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Strong SQL programming and database optimization skills.
- Solid understanding of Data Engineering principles.
- Experience with Medallion Architecture and modern analytics platforms.
- Experience creating solution designs, functional specifications, and data contracts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven experience leading BI or Analytics teams.
Good to Have
- Experience with Veeva CRM/Compass integration.
- Azure Data Platform or Microsoft Fabric exposure.
- Experience in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical domain.
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance and analytics best practices.
