Role Summary
The Senior Power BI Developer & Analytics Lead is a key leader within the BI team, responsible for driving advanced data analytics and business intelligence capabilities across Shared Services, with a strong focus on Credit and Treasury operations.
In addition to delivering high-impact analytics and insights, the Senior Analyst provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and technical direction, helping to develop and expand an India-based analytics capability, starting with oversight of a Regulatory Analyst, a Commercial Analyst and supporting future team growth.

Key Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI Semantic models, BI reports, and solutions that support Credit and Treasury risk management.
- Perform deep-dive analysis on credit exposures, liquidity trends, and risk performance metrics to support decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and lineage across multiple internal data sources.
- Champion best practices in data modelling, visualisation, and analytical storytelling.
Data Integrity & Governance
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on data mapping, structure, and reconciliation between Credit, BI, and other operational databases.
- Maintain documentation for data definitions, transformation logic, and reporting standards.
- Partner with engineering, BI, and risk teams to strengthen data governance policies and processes.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Provide daily oversight, coaching, and workflow management for the India-based Regulatory Analyst and Commercial Analyst
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and developing additional team members as the India analytics hub grows.
- Establish standards for quality, documentation, and analytical rigour across the team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with global Credit, Treasury, and Shared Services teams to define requirements and deliver strategic insights.
- Translate complex business questions into structured analytical frameworks.
- Engage with stakeholders across time zones, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 10 + years of experience in data analytics, risk analytics, or business intelligence roles, ideally within the financial services sector.
- 10 + years’ experience developing semantic models and reports in Power BI
- 8 + years’ experience writing advanced SQL, Data Analysis eXpression (DAX) language, and Power Query
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and performing detailed data validation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
- Proven experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business insights.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across global teams.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
- Autonomous and self-driven, with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Credit, Treasury, Risk, or financial markets (including options) is an advantage.
