Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled
Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports. The role requires strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, and data visualization, along with the ability to work with large datasets in an enterprise environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDashboard Development & Reporting
- Design and develop end-to-end Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Create visually compelling and business-friendly data visualizations.
- Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
Data Modeling & Transformation
- Build and manage semantic data models (datasets).
- Implement data modeling techniques (Star Schema, relationships, normalization where required).
- Perform data transformation using Power Query (M language).
DAX & Performance Optimization
- Develop and optimize DAX measures, calculations, and KPIs.
- Improve report performance and ensure efficient data handling.
- Handle large datasets and ensure scalability and responsiveness.
Power BI Service & Governance
- Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service / Fabric Workspace.
- Configure Row-Level Security (RLS) and access control.
- Monitor report usage, performance, and optimize accordingly.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards.
Data Integration & Collaboration
- Collaborate with data engineering teams for ETL pipelines (ADF / Fabric Pipelines).
- Support data refresh schedules, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver insights.
Technical Skills Required - Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
- Advanced knowledge of:
- DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
- Power Query (M Language)
- Strong experience in:
- Data Modeling (Star Schema preferred)
- SQL (queries, joins, optimization)
- Exposure to:
- Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Data Warehouse concepts
- Experience in:
- Handling large datasets & performance tuning
- Nice to have:
- Deneb / Vega Lite custom visuals
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in Power BI / Data Analytics / BI Development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
