Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support an initiative to migrate existing IBM Cognos BI reports to Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, and report migration. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to ensure smooth migration and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business analytics.

· Assist in the migration of IBM Cognos BI reports to Microsoft Power BI.

· Design and implement efficient data models and visualizations to support reporting requirements.

· Write and optimize Oracle SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into Power BI solutions.

· Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and report reliability during the migration process.

· Work closely with data engineering and BI teams to ensure data integrity and governance.

· Provide technical documentation and support for Power BI dashboards and reports.

· Troubleshoot and resolve reporting and data-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience

· 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and reporting tools.

· Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI development.

· Knowledge and working experience with IBM Cognos BI.

· Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL for data querying and optimization.

· Experience in data modeling, DAX, and Power BI report development.

· Experience working in report migration projects (Cognos to Power BI preferred).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
