Job Roles
We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Architect to lead the design, governance, and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Azure data services. This role demands deep expertise in Power BI visualization, semantic modeling, data modeling, PL/SQL, ADF pipelines, and Azure Synapse.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of BI solutions using Power BI, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Define and implement semantic models and data modeling best practices for enterprise reporting.
- Develop advanced Power BI visualizations and dashboards tailored to business needs.
- Integrate Power BI with Azure Synapse, ADF pipelines, and other Azure data services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions and strategic roadmaps.
- Actively support pre-sales and consulting engagements, articulating complex BI concepts and business value to potential clients and partners.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across BI projects, conducting design reviews and enforcing development standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation for BI architectures, data flows, and integration patterns.
- Stay current with emerging trends in data visualization, semantic modeling, and cloud-native BI development.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in BI solution architecture and development.
- Proven, hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions using:
- Power BI (visualization, DAX, Power Query)
- Semantic modeling and data modeling techniques
- PL/SQL and relational databases
- Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines
- Strong understanding of data governance, RBAC, and performance/cost tuning on Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD for BI workloads using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in Agile environments and managing onshore/offshore delivery models.
