Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power Automate Engineer to support a critical automation initiative for our Japanese power business. The role will focus on extending and adapting existing Power Automate solutions used in other regions (developed by BP teams) to support the processing of Japanese-language power contract PDFs, including the incorporation and trial of translation capabilities within the Power Automate ecosystem.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring close collaboration with UK-based BP automation teams and Japanese business stakeholders, with some flexibility to overlap with Eastern time zones.

Technical Skills

•Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows required; desktop flows a plus).

•Strong experience integrating Power Automate with:

o SharePoint

o OneDrive

o Dataverse

o AI Builder

o Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps, Cognitive Services – advantageous)

•Experience working with PDF processing, document ingestion, and structured data extraction.

•Familiarity with Microsoft AI and translation services, especially for non-English languages.

•Ability to adapt and extend existing automations, rather than building everything from scratch.

•Strong understanding of error handling, logging, and maintainability in automation
