Senior Applied AI Engineer

Postman is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to join our growing Observability team. In this role, you will work closely with our product and engineering teams to build machine learning models and solutions that augment and enhance the Postman platform. You will own the full lifecycle of ML model development, from research and experimentation to deployment and operationalization. Your work will directly impact Postman's ability to surface meaningful insights from our data and provide an exceptional user experience for our customers. What you'll do: - Lead the design and development of state-of-the-art machine learning models to solve complex problems in the observability space - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to ideate, design, and implement impactful ML solutions - Develop robust training and evaluation pipelines to ensure the quality and reliability of our ML models - Operationalize ML models into production, working closely with our infrastructure and platform teams - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and identify opportunities to apply cutting-edge techniques - Mentor and guide more junior members of the team, sharing your expertise and helping them grow What you'll need: - 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models in a production environment - Strong background in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, time series forecasting, or anomaly detection - Expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) - Proficiency in Python and experience with data engineering and deployment tools (e.g., Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker) - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is preferred
