Job Description:
Exp: 4 to 7 Years

Senior (On-Premises) PostgreSQL core administrator . (On premises exp is must)
Shift: 24×7 (Rotational)
Role Summary
Provide L2 operational support for PostgreSQL database environments, ensuring availability, performance, and stability of production and non‑production systems. The role also supports basic new database builds, deployments, and version upgrades under standard procedures and L3 guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- L2 support for PostgreSQL databases across production and non‑production environments
- Incident, service request, and problem management as per ITIL processes
- Daily health checks, monitoring, and proactive issue identification
- Backup, restore, and recovery support (pg_dump / pg_restore / WAL)
- Basic performance troubleshooting (slow queries, locks, connections)
- User, role, and access management
- Support new PostgreSQL database builds and deployments using approved templates and SOPs
- Assist with minor version upgrades and patching activities under L3 guidance
- Support DR drills, replication checks, and failover readiness
- Coordinate with L1, L3, application, and infrastructure teams
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and shift handover documentation
