Job Summary
Looking for a PostgreSQL DBA with experience managing PostgreSQL databases on Red Hat OpenShift
Container Platform (RHOCP). The candidate will be responsible for database administration,
performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, troubleshooting, and supporting
containerized PostgreSQL deployments.
Position: PostgreSQL DBA (L2) – Red Hat OpenShift (RHOCP)
Experience: 4–8 Years
Role Description
Key Responsibilities
• Deploy and manage PostgreSQL databases on RHOCP/OpenShift.
• Administer PostgreSQL clusters using Operators (Crunchy Data, CloudNativePG, EDB, etc.).
• Configure and manage StatefulSets, Persistent Volumes (PV), and Persistent Volume Claims (PVC).
• Monitor database performance, availability, and storage utilization.
• Perform backup and recovery using pgBackRest or Operator-based backup solutions.
• Manage PostgreSQL replication and failover mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot database and OpenShift-related issues.
• Perform PostgreSQL upgrades, migrations, and patching.
• Work with application teams for database onboarding and performance optimization.
• Support HA and DR solutions.
