Overview
We are looking for 9+ yrs experienced Data Architect responsible for designing scalable data architectures and database structures for modern software solutions. The role focuses on building robust PostgreSQL‑based data models, enabling efficient data integration, and supporting API‑driven systems.
The Data Architect will work closely with product owners, developers, and solution architects in an Agile environment to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable, and high‑performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data architectures for enterprise applications.
- Develop scalable relational data models using PostgreSQL, ensuring performance and maintainability.
- Define and enforce data modelling standards, schema design guidelines, and governance practices.
- Design and support data ingestion and ETL pipelines from APIs, files, and external systems.
- Work with structured and semi‑structured data (including JSON) ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to support API‑driven architectures and efficient data access patterns.
- Define indexing, optimization, and performance‑tuning strategies for databases.
- Review database implementations to ensure adherence to architecture standards and best practices.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in PostgreSQL including data modelling, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
- Proven expertise in relational data architecture and advanced SQL
- Experience designing ETL or data ingestion pipelines
- Hands‑on experience with structured and semi‑structured data (JSON)
- Experience working in Agile development environments
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB or similar)
- Exposure to PostGraphile, GraphQL, and REST‑based data access patterns
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Basic understanding of analytics or AI‑oriented data platforms
- Exposure to large‑scale or domain‑driven data models (telecom or similar)
