🚀 Hiring Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate under National Quantum Mission (NQM)
We are seeking highly motivated candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate position under the prestigious National Quantum Mission (NQM) at Plaksha University, Mohali.
🔬 Research Focus:
The project centers on the epitaxial growth and engineering of advanced 2D materials, including h-BN, TMDCs, and nitrides, using ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems and Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), aimed at developing next-generation optoelectronic and quantum devices, particularly single-photon emitters (SPEs).
⚙️ Key Responsibilities:
Growth of high-quality 2D materials using MBE/UHV systems
Process development for heterostructures and device fabrication
Design and development of optoelectronic and quantum devices
Advanced material and device characterization
Mentoring students and contributing to collaborative research
🎯 Eligibility:
Ph.D. in Physics / Materials Science / Electrical Engineering or related areas
Proven experience in 2D material growth (h-BN, nitrides, TMDCs)
Hands-on expertise in MBE, UHV systems, and thin-film deposition
Strong background in optoelectronic devices and characterization techniques
Demonstrated research output (publications/patents)
