Postdoctoral Fellowship in Applied Control Engineering, Intelligent Control, Autonomous Systems, AI in Automation (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus).

Fellowship Duration & Benefits:

• Monthly Salary up to INR 60,000.

• Initial appointment: 1 year

• Extendable up to 2 years based on performance

Research Areas:

• Process Control Design and Optimization

• Autonomous Systems Control (UAV and Robotics)

• Intelligent Control Techniques

• Artificial Intelligence in Automation

• Networked and Cyber-Physical Control Systems

Qualification:

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering / Control Engineering / Automation / Mechatronics / Robotics / AI-related Engineering disciplines, or a closely related field (Completed Ph.D. in the last 3 years on a full-time basis).

• Candidates who have recently completed their Ph.D. or thesis already submitted may also apply.

Essential and Desirable Skills:

• Strong theoretical and practical background in classical and modern control systems, including system modelling, stability analysis, controller design, and performance evaluation for linear and non-linear systems.

• Strong publication record or demonstrated potential to publish in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals in control engineering, automation, or related domains.

• Proven research experience in process control, autonomous systems, or intelligent control, with exposure to real-world industrial or cyber-physical applications.

• Excellent proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/ROS for control system modelling, simulation, algorithm development, and performance validation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent and collaborative research

• Publish research findings in high-impact journals and conferences

• Assist PI in proposal development for external funding

• Support postgraduate research supervision
