Role Description The Post Graduate Teacher (Biology and Chemistry) is responsible for delivering engaging and conceptually strong lessons to middle and senior school students, aligned with the CBSE curriculum. This full-time, on-site role is based in Santuri and includes preparing lesson plans, teaching theoretical and practical components, conducting laboratory sessions, and assessing student performance through tests, assignments, and projects. The teacher will provide academic support and mentoring, maintain classroom discipline, and create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. Day-to-day responsibilities also include collaborating with colleagues, participating in school events, attending staff meetings, and contributing to curriculum enrichment and remedial programs. The role requires adherence to school policies and active communication with parents/guardians about student progress when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with the ability to deliver Biology and Chemistry concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training to design structured, engaging lessons and support student learning through varied instructional methods.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and parents, and for creating a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Postgraduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline, with B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training preferred.
- Experience teaching at middle or senior school level, preferably in a CBSE or similar curriculum environment.
- Ability to conduct and supervise laboratory work safely, with attention to practical demonstrations and experimentation.
- Comfort using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory classroom practices, and to the holistic development of learners.
